The Summer Reading Program theme this year is “Make a Splash @ Your Library”. Children read for prizes during June, July and August. We ask they read 4 times a week, at least 15 minutes each time. Then they bring their reading log in the following week and they get a prize. If they complete all 10 weeks they will earn a swimming ticket for themselves and one parent. The Last Day to Redeem Reading Logs is Saturday, August 21.
Splash into Crafts (ages 3-6) will be every Tuesdays and Wednesdays in June @ 10:30 a.m. and is first come, first serve, no need to sign up at the library before hand.
Splash into Activities (school age) will be every Wednesdays in July @ 10:30 a.m. and is first come, first serve, no need to sign up at the library before hand.
June, July and August NO Storytime will be held.
Make Waves @ Your Library (Teens) will be held June through July.
The Teen program involves a Teen Bingo Sheet and consists of 4 hours of reading, a book review of one of the books you read this summer, reading a book of a different genre than you usually read, complete our Make Waves Quiz’s, use a library resource you haven’t used before, and read a journal article on Pioneer and report on the article. Every time you complete one of our Bingo’s you will earn a Prize, if you complete all 9 Bingo’s you will earn a book.
